Three facts we can document

We prefer three verifiable facts over a statement of intent. No labels, no certified carbon footprint, and no "eco-friendly" claims on our products. Here's what we can show.

  • A product that hasn't travelled across the world

    Our suppliers are established in Switzerland, and the assortment is only open to them. What you order has been manufactured or stored here. This is primarily a choice of assortment — the distance saved is a consequence, not the argument.

  • An order, a package

    You order from three different suppliers. For international orders, we consolidate shipments: one package, one journey, one customs formality – where three separate shipments would cost three times as much, in terms of both money and miles.

  • Packaging

    Our shipments are sent in cardboard boxes, with paper padding instead of plastic. We reuse our suppliers' packaging when it arrives in good condition, instead of repackaging for appearance.

Lifetime, above all else

The most useful action in our profession isn't found on this page: it's choosing a tool that lasts. A precision tool holder can be adjusted, maintained, and repaired for years, whereas a cheap equivalent is simply replaced.

This is the raison d'être of our assortment: we don't sell the cheapest, we sell what lasts.

What we don't do yet

We have no carbon footprint assessment, no carbon offsetting, and no environmental certification. We will not publish a figure that we cannot measure, and we will not call a product "sustainable" if we do not know its entire supply chain.

This is a deliberate position, not an omission: an unverifiable claim only misleads for so long, and it is challengeable under Swiss law against unfair competition as well as European regulations on environmental claims. The day we have this data, it will be available on this page.
