SCHAUBLIN B8 Emergency Collets

Quick solution for urgent clamping of special diameters. The body is hardened and ground; the head is left soft, slotted, with a central pilot hole.

Can be machined directly on a lathe to the required bore (offset, grooved, or custom shape), offering excellent concentricity and elasticity equal to a standard collet.

Machining procedure:

• Check that the 3 retaining pins are in place.
• Clamp the collet using a standard collet holder.
• Machine to size (drill, turn, grind as needed).
• Remove from the spindle, take out pins, clean – ready to use.

Brass versions available for delicate parts.
