SCHAUBLIN F16 Emergency Collet

The F16 emergency collet is a practical solution for quickly clamping special diameters. The body is fully machined, hardened and ground – the head remains soft, slotted and features a central bore.

The collet can be machined directly on a lathe to the required diameter (e.g. round, with notch or special shape). It ensures optimal concentricity and elasticity equivalent to a standard collet.

Machining Instructions:

• Check that all 3 retaining pins are present
• Secure the collet using the clamping system
• Machine the bore (drilling, turning, grinding)
• Remove the collet, take out the pins, clean – ready to use

Note: Brass versions are available for delicate workpieces.
