SCHAUBLIN W20 Brass Emergency Collet – Type W

The SCHAUBLIN W-type brass emergency collet is designed for gentle and secure clamping of sensitive parts, while offering full machining flexibility.

Like the steel version, it features a hardened and ground body with a soft, slotted head and central bore, allowing custom machining directly on the lathe (smooth bore, custom shape, etc.).

Key features of the brass version:

• Soft material: prevents marking or deformation of delicate parts
• Ideal for fragile components and surface-sensitive workpieces
• Fully compatible with standard W-type collet systems

Machining procedure:

• Check presence of the 3 retaining pins
• Mount and clamp the collet in the standard system
• Machine the desired bore (drilling, turning, grinding)
• Remove the collet, take out pins, and clean thoroughly

Note: This collet retains the elasticity of a standard collet while offering superior protection for delicate parts.
