SCHAUBLIN W20 Emergency Collet D47x35 – Type W

For standard SCHAUBLIN collet types like Type W, emergency collets such as this D47x35 model allow rapid clamping of custom diameters in urgent situations.

The collet has a hardened, ground, and finished body, while the head remains soft, slotted, and features a central bore. It can be machined directly on the lathe to match the required profile – smooth, notched, hexagonal, etc.

Machining procedure:

• Ensure the 3 retaining pins are correctly positioned
• Mount and tighten the collet in the usual device
• Machine to the desired bore (drilling, turning, grinding)
