SCHAUBLIN W25 Brass Emergency Collet – Type W

The SCHAUBLIN W-type brass emergency collet is specially designed for safe and precise clamping of sensitive or fragile workpieces, while offering full machining flexibility.

As with the steel version, it features a finished and ground body, and a soft, slotted head with a central bore. The collet can be machined directly on the lathe to match any required profile – smooth bore, special form, hexagonal, etc.

Key features of the brass version:

• Soft material – prevents marking or deformation of sensitive parts
• Ideal for fragile or surface-critical components
• Fully compatible with W-type collet clamping systems

Machining procedure:

• Ensure the 3 retaining pins are correctly inserted
• Mount and tighten the collet in the usual device
• Machine the required bore (drilling, turning, grinding)
• Remove the collet, extract the pins, clean thoroughly
