SCHAUBLIN W25 Emergency Collet – Type W

For standard SCHAUBLIN collet types such as Type W, emergency collets are available to allow fast machining of special diameters when needed.

The collet body is hardened, ground and finished, while the head remains soft, slotted, and features a central bore. It can be machined directly on the lathe to the desired shape: smooth, notched, hexagonal, or other profiles.

Benefits:

• Exceptional concentricity after machining
• Same elasticity as a standard collet
• Available in all usable W-type diameters

Machining procedure:

• Check that the 3 retaining pins are in place
• Secure the collet using the clamping system
• Machine to desired shape (drill, turn, optionally grind)
• Remove collet, extract pins, clean – ready to use

Note: Brass versions are available for delicate part clamping on selected sizes.
