SCHAUBLIN W25 Emergency Collet D47x35 – Type W

For common SCHAUBLIN collet types like Type W, emergency collets are available to enable fast clamping of custom diameters in urgent applications.

This version D47x35 features a hardened, ground, and finished body, while the head remains soft, slotted, and centrally bored. It can be machined directly on a lathe to the desired shape – smooth, notched, hexagonal, etc.

Machining procedure:

• Check that the 3 small retaining pins are properly in place
• Mount and clamp the collet using the usual fixture
• Machine the desired bore (drilling, turning, grinding if needed)
• Remove the collet, extract pins, clean thoroughly

Note: Brass versions are available for delicate parts.
