SCHAUBLIN W31.75 Emergency Collet – Type W

For popular collet types like the SCHAUBLIN Type W, emergency collets are available for urgent clamping of non-standard diameters.

The W31.75 collet features a hardened, ground and finished body, and a soft, slotted head with a central bore. It can be machined directly on a lathe to the required shape: smooth bore, grooved, hexagonal, or custom profiles.

Machining procedure:

• Check the presence of the 3 retaining pins
• Clamp the collet using the usual system
• Drill, turn or optionally grind to desired bore
• Remove from spindle, take out pins, clean – ready to use

Note: Brass versions are available for delicate parts.
